Our core public health programming, from communicable disease surveillance to Children’s Medical Services, serves the entire county including the North Tahoe region. A handful of programs have independent Tahoe operations:
The Women, Infants and Children’s program, with health and nutrition supports including supplemental food vouchers, operates out of Sierra Community House in Kings Beach.
While Public Health no longer operates medical clinics, Placer County contracts with Western Sierra Medical Clinic for services in several locations including Kings Beach. Learn more (PDF).
Vital statistics: Placer County marriage licenses are available at the Carnelian Bay office by appointment only. Call 530-546-1900.
Public health nursing services, including home visits for eligible families, can be reached at 800-829-7199 and serve the Tahoe area.
