his program provides flexible second mortgages to help families purchase their first home in the unincorporated areas of Placer County. The First Time Homebuyer Assistance Program loan can help make mortgage payments more affordable.
Martis Fund Down Payment Assistance Program
Martis Fund’s Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program provides down payment assistance for median income Tahoe/Truckee locals.
Hopkins Village, a new for-sale housing development located in Martis Valley, will sell to the Tahoe-Truckee workforce. Forty units (20 half-plexes), each containing 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a garage, will be constructed and sold entirely to local workers with a household income of 180% area median income or less.
Dollar Creek Crossing
Placer County purchased an 11-acre property near Tahoe City in 2019 to produce a mix of achievable housing for the local workforce in North Lake Tahoe. The Dollar Creek Crossing development is in planning stages.
