Placer County seeking parks commissioner for District 2

Do you want to help shape how people recreate in Placer County? Our Placer Parks Commission is seeking resident to serve on behalf of District 2, which includes Lincoln, Sheridan and west Roseville (west of Fiddyment Road). 

Applicants for this position must reside within District 2.

The Placer County Parks Commission advises the Board of Supervisors on all matters relating to public recreation projects and recommends policy and direction to the county's Department of Parks and Open Space

The commission has seven members, one member from supervisorial districts 1, 2, 3 and 4, and three members from District 5 representing Foresthill, Colfax and Tahoe.

The commission meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of January, March, May, July, September and November at the Placer County Department of Public Works building at 3091 County Center Drive in Auburn.
