Placer County agencies take top honors in statewide communication awards

Placer County agencies took home nine awards in this year’s California Association of Public Information Officials’ EPIC Awards for communication - more than any other jurisdiction of any size in the state.
CAPIO’s EPIC Awards program recognizes the most creative and effective efforts in the areas of communication and marketing campaigns, newsletter production, photography, special events, writing, website development and video production.
“Providing clear, timely information to our residents is critical for us, and we work hard to help keep them informed,” said Wendy Williams, director of Placer’s Communications and Public Affairs Office. “We’re thrilled to be recognized for those efforts.”
Five Placer entries received the program’s top honor, the EPIC award. Four others won CAPIO’s award of distinction. Placer’s winning entries were:
