Aesop's Fables: Mask-Making and Storytelling - Enjoy a quick performance of an Aesop's Fable then make your own Aesop's Fable inspired masks! Act out your own fable using the masks at the library or later on at home. Plus learn about how to write your own fables and stories.
Brian Scott Magic - Biblio Spectacular! This interactive show is designed for family audiences and brings the world of books to life with magic. Fun for all ages!
Build a Band - Make your own tambourine, shaker, kazoo, and microphone during this craft program! Rock out to some music and then take your instruments home to continue the fun.
Mad Science - A spectacular science show hosted by well-trained Mad Scientists with a flair for presenting dynamic science demonstrations. Don't miss this educational and highly entertaining event!
Perspectives of Placer: Find Your Voice Through Art for Adults - Find your voice through art by joining us for a creative exploration inspired by Placer County landmarks and landscapes. At our Perspective of Placer sessions, you are invited to create a canvas-based art piece that reflects your unique perspective. We will display the projects in the library for all to enjoy during Summer [Fest] at Your Library.
Placer County Youth Orchestra- Don't miss this special performance by our local Placer County Youth Orchestra. Enjoy a mix of classic and modern songs and learn about the variety of instruments that make up an orchestra.
Pop & Go Puppets - Enjoy a special puppet performance of "Milo Joins the Circus." To Milo, cleaning one’s room is too much to bear so he runs away to join the circus. In this “guaranteed clown free” story, the audience help Milo and his dog Sadie thwart The Great Bluedini’s plan to make Milo’s dog disappear in The Magic Bucket.
Puppet Art Theater - Puppet Art Theater Presents: The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Three Billy Goats must find a way to outwit the Troll and get across the bridge so they can enjoy the field of green, green grass. Little Billy, his older sister Brittany, and their father Bruno all try to trip-trap.
Rockstar Training Camp - Learn how to be a rockstar at this fun event for children! Decorate your own pair of drumsticks and learn how to keep the beat! Make a cool pair of paper sunglasses and practice your rockstar poses. Then participate in some Air Guitar lessons!
Sacramento Taiko Dan - Enjoy an amazing performance and demonstration of the art of Japanese Drumming. Sacramento Taiko Dan is the premiere Japanese drumming ensemble in the greater Sacramento region. Fun for all ages!
Silly Art Contest - Create the silliest piece of art that you can using only the materials provided at this fun art exploration program. Contest judges will award a trophy to the Silliest in Show! You will get to take your silly creations home with you.
Slime Time - Make your own slime at this fun STEAM program for kids! Learn about scientific compounds while you mix up your own slime, then personalize it and take it home!
Tie Dye Totes for Teens - Ages 10-17! Make your own tie-dye tote bags! Teens will get to create a tie-dye design on a white shirt. They will then take their shirt home with instructions on how to finish the process (after washing the shirt) in order to create a simple tote bag by just cutting and tying!
Wild Things - Join Conservation Ambassadors for a show featuring wild animals from near and far! Bring a blanket or some beach chairs and join us for this fun and educational performance.
