Library Services Study 2022

In Fall 2021, Placer County commissioned a study to look at the current state of the Placer County Library.  The consultants presented their findings to the Board of Supervisors in May 2022.

The Library Service Study report analyzes the current state of the Placer County Library, including its funding, governance, operations, staffing, and facilities. It compares the Library to peers, to provide a context for how it measures up against other libraries in the state. 

The analysis has been synthesized into four proposed paths for the Library, each representing a different service model that might be implemented in the future.
