Regional Sewer Project to be discussed at North Auburn, Newcastle/Ophir municipal advisory council meetings

Published on October 08, 2015

A status update on the City of Lincoln’s Regional Sewer Project will be presented at the North Auburn and Newcastle/Ophir Advisory municipal advisory council meetings Oct. 13 and Oct. 15 respectively.

The presentation will update MAC members and the community on the 13-mile pipeline project that will transport wastewater from Placer County’s Sewer Maintenance District 1 to the City of Lincoln.

The project completion and the decommissioning the wastewater treatment plant in North Auburn were initially slated for completion by September 2015; however the project has been delayed due to an issue with several fittings along the newly-constructed pipeline. The pipeline issues and the expected impacts of the project delay to neighboring residents will be explained in the presentation, as well as an opportunity for community members to ask questions.

The North Auburn MAC will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in the Planning Commission hearing room at the Community Development Resource Agency at 3091 County Center Drive in North Auburn at 6 p.m. Agenda (PDF)

The Newcastle/Ophir MAC will meet at Ophir Elementary School located at 1373 Lozanos Road in Newcastle Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. Agenda (PDF)
