***WATCH THE ASSEMBLY FLOOR SESSION HERE AND THE SENATE FLOOR SESSION HERE***
(End of session is midnight Sept. 14)
While the Placer County District Attorney's Office will prosecute to the extent the law allows, there are many decisions happening at the state level that affects their ability to secure justice for victims of crime. That is why they launched their legislative affairs arm to educate residents on state policy, seek legislative solutions to problems and empower communities to have their voice heard.
Bad bills the office is tracking:
1) Senate Bill 81: will make parole denials extremely difficult – even when an inmate blatantly shows they have not been rehabilitated
2) Senate Bill 94: will decrease penalties for henious murderers that were charged before 1990 Read Crime Victims United AB 94 murder list
