TOT projects in Tahoe move forward
A total of 13 investment projects in eastern Placer County accounting for more than $14 million were directed to move forward Monday by the Placer County Board of Supervisors to advance regional goals including workforce housing and improved transportation.

Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week
Placer County Public Health is joining partners across the state in recognizing Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Week from Oct. 22-28. The statewide campaign, which this year is focused around lead air pollution, will include fact sheets, web-based presentations and educational materials about childhood lead poisoning.

Winter Parking Restrictions in Tahoe
Placer County officials are reminding residents and visitors that annual winter parking restrictions will go into effect Nov. 1 until May 1, 2024. Parking along county maintained roadways will be prohibited in areas east of Emigrant Gap. The restriction ensures snowplows can keep roadways clear during the winter.

Placer County confirms West Nile virus death, first since 2018
Placer County public health officials confirmed the first West Nile virus death this season, a Lincoln man over age 65. This is the first West Nile virus-related death in the county since 2018.
