- ‘Resource Express’ event to help local families
Published Nov. 20, 2023
Get ready to 'get on track' with community resources at Placer County’s new Resource Express event. On Friday, Dec. 1, the Boys and Girls Club in Auburn (679 Lincoln Way) will transform into a hub of family-friendly activities, services and more, aimed at supporting local families.
The event, sponsored by Placer County Human Services along with a number of community partners, offers a range of family activities and resources. Attendees can meet with representatives from various local organizations, get freebies, and gain important knowledge on resources from health care and Medi-Cal coverage to food assistance. Plus, families can enjoy free food, raffle prizes and other fun, including holiday photos and a kids’ winter clothing closet.
“We’re moving ‘full steam ahead’ on having fun, while also helping families connect with supportive programs that can help sustain them through the holidays and beyond,” said Mary Barker, an outreach supervisor with Human Services. “Thank you to all the partners who have stepped up to make this event a rewarding experience.”
