[ARCHIVED] Placer County Housing Authority to Accept Pre-Applications for Mainstream Referrals

The Placer County Housing Authority (PCHA) will begin accepting pre-applications by direct referral for the limited preference set-aside Mainstream vouchers beginning Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Referrals will be accepted from partnering social services agencies: Placer County Adult Systems of Care and Placer County Whole Person Care. Applicants referred to PCHA will be verified and added to the waiting list by date and time received with the Mainstream preference. Pre-applications for this limited preference set-aside will continue to be accepted while Mainstream vouchers are available.

Mainstream vouchers are limited to applicants whose household has at least one non-elderly, disabled individual between the ages of 18 and 61, and the household is either: transitioning out of an institutional or segregated setting, at serious risk of institutionalization, currently experiencing homelessness, previously experienced homelessness and currently a client in a permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing project, or those at risk of experiencing homelessness.

Letters were sent out to all active applicant households on the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list regarding the limited preference set-aside Mainstream vouchers.
