What are the criteria for consideration of issuance?

Per Penal Code 26150 and 26200:

  1. Proof that the person applying is of good moral character
  2. Proof that the person applying is a full-time resident of the county or a city within the county. The primary address must be on record with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  3. Proof that the person applying has completed, at least, an 8-hour course of training including instruction on firearm safety, the law regarding the permissible use of a firearm and qualification of weapon(s)/type(s) to be listed on license.
  4. Proof of no statutory prohibitions.
  5. No criminal convictions within 5 years of application of a CCW.
