1. What types of appliances are subject to the emission requirements of Rule 225, Wood Burning Appliances?

The following appliances are subject to the emission requirements:

Fireplaces
Hydronic Heaters
Indoor and Outdoor Wood Burning Stoves
Inserts
Residential Wood Fired Boilers

2. What types of appliances are not subject to the emission requirements of Rule 225?

The following appliances are not subject to the emissions requirements:

Chimoneas®
Cook Stoves
Masonry Heaters
Non-Permanent Outdoor Fire Pits
Pellet Stoves
Pizza Ovens
Wood Burning Campfire Rings

Also, gas and alcohol burning appliances are not subject to Rule 225.
