How to Start a Childcare Business 6-Part Series (Part 5 of 6): Presented by the SBDC

Wednesday, November 10, 2021

How to Start a Childcare Business at Home. The pandemic has uprooted our lives and created opportunities for change. This 6-week FREE virtual series will teach you all you need to know to open your in-home childcare business. Covering infants to preschool age, join us to learn what it takes to operate a childcare business and make a difference in your community!

In this program, participants will receive an overview of owning a licensed in-home childcare business, the knowledge and components of a business plan, practical exercises in identifying opportunities for business expansion, continued education, licensing, and safety support as well as transportation resources. In addition, we will provide real-time information on state and local opportunities as well as potential public/private funding mechanisms. We will showcase the opportunities for public and private sector collaborations and connect participants to tangible resources to increase their chance of success.
