The Gold Rush Museum

The Gold Rush Museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 10:30 to 4:00. It features a mining tunnel, gold rush twitter wall, many hands-on exhibits and an indoor panning stream that is wheelchair accessible.

The new museum is located at 601 Lincoln Way in the old Auburn Depot Building downtown.

Gold Rush Program

Our fourth grade tour will not be on offer this fall, but is scheduled to return in late spring.

The Gold Rush Program is a two-hour interactive program targeting fourth grade state curriculum standards, concerning the Gold Rush, using museum exhibits and primary resource material from the Placer County Archives.

This tour is available in winter and early spring.
